Shuan Delpatrick Rich “Abu” was an army kid born on February 8, 1973 in Munich, Germany to the late Thomas O’Neal and Harris Steen Rich.

In the early part of his life, his family relocated back to the United States, where he attended Sumter School District No. 17 and later received his GED.

Shuan was a strong and athletic person. He loved sports and his family especially the name RICH meant a lot to him. That name was his definition of Strength and Power.

In 2017,  he was getting things together in his life and was employed with Jemison Metals. He was working hard to accomplish all of his goals in life. He was definitely making his family proud by his life achievements and everyone was proud of Shuan’s life changes. His motivation was that he can do anything.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several other family members.

On Friday, November 5, 2021 he departed his earthly life in Sumter, SC.

Shuan leaves to cherish his memories; two sons, Justice S. Wells and Koran E. Rich; three brothers, Thomas Mickens, Tracey O. Rich and David A. Rich; a sister, Danielle S. Rich; his fiance, Cynthia Washington and her mother, Barbara Washington; several aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shuan will be greatly missed and loved by many. We will always keep your name alive.
