Rosa Jeanette Cooper Lewis was born December 17, 1961 in Sumter to the late John Wesley and Bertie Mae LeGrant Cooper, Sr.
Rosa was a 1982 graduate of Mayewood High School. She was employed by Tuomey Health Care until her health declined.
Rosa was a remarkable woman. She was very humble, loveable, happy and was affectionally called (Toadie). She loved to cook, sew and have family gatherings while listening to music with her favorite songs. She would ask you a question continually until she was satisfied with the answer. If she did something and it wasn't right she would do it over and over again until she get it right!
Rosa started her Christian journey at an early age in Goodwill Presbyterian Church. Later she joined the Jehovah Witness as a loyal and devoted witness of the spreading of the good news of the Kingdom.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Lewis, two sisters, Cynthia Cooper and Geraldine Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories six sisters, Melinda (Willie) Humes, Barbara (Randy) Washington, Janice Cooper, Carolyn Cooper, Jeannie (Alfred) Washington and Edna (Heyward) Wilson; two brothers, John W. Cooper, Jr. and Micheal (Gabrielle) Cooper; a sister in-law, Scottie McCray, brother in-law, Micheal Lewis, James Lee Lewis, Clayton Hazelton and Levern McCray a aunt, Emma (Herbert) Washington, spiritual sisters, Dora Rollins and Rosa Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin other relatives and friends.
