Mr. John Charles Colclough Jr. better known as “Boogalu” departed his earthly home to eternity with his heavenly father on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.
He was born in Sumter, SC on July 3, 1985, to Priscillia L. Colclough and the late John C. Colclough Sr.
He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He worked at Sumter Vocational Rehabilitation and was a member of the kitchen staff member at Turbeville Correctional Institution.
Boogalu loved children, singing, having fun and cutting jokes. Family was everything to him and he loved his mother with everything in him.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Priscillia L. Colclough, five siblings, Lashawn Seigler, Latoya Lyons Cooper, and Jessica Fraiser, all of Sumter, SC, Martha Berry of Fayetteville, NC and Andre Lamont (Sheraunda) Wilson of Richmond, VA; a son, Uziah Malone of Georgia, his grandmother, Louise Williams, two uncles, Willie B. (Barbara) Williams and Herbert Colclough, two aunts, Clara Wilson, Annie Mae Washington, seventeen nieces & nephews, three grand-nieces & nephews and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Charles Colclough Sr., a brother-in-law, Josh Fraiser, a sister, Catheleen White, three grandparents, Willie B. Williams Sr., Johnston Clarence and Delia L. Williams Colclough, three uncles, Sammie Jessie Gayle, Lee Earl Colclough, Dennis Wilson and a nephew, Aaron Lewis.
