Obituary We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  2Corinthians 5:8 KJVOn September 18, 2018, Ms. Willie Mae Williams Wilson King, 81, entered into eternal rest.Ms. King was born on May 13, 1937 in Lee County, South Carolina. She was the beloved first born to the late Willie and Maggie Brunson Williams. Her father named her Willie Mae after him.Ms. King married her childhood sweetheart, the late Calhoun Wilson and later married the late Earl King.Ms. King spent over forty years in New Jersey; however, she returned to South Carolina nearly twenty-five years ago and resided in Sumter, South Carolina. While in New Jersey, she worked with the New Jersey Department of Education and worked as a nurse assistant. She found a church home wherever she was located. She worshipped with Cavalry Baptist Church in New Jersey. She reunited with Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church after moving back to South Carolina. When she no longer drove, she consistently took the City of Refuge Outreach Ministries neighborhood van to Sunday services and week day bible study.Ms. King was simply an amazing spirit who loved God, the church, her family, watching Christian television and valued her independence. Her independence was extremely important to her because when she was only "a young" 42, she had a stroke. It was followed by three additional strokes. The fourth one left her speechless for the final fifteen years of her life. She was still tenacious about living life to the fullest. Her standards for a high quality of life never declined. She even planned and went on a 7-day cruise with the Sumter Senior Services Staff and her daughter. She was always on top of her business affairs. She loved to look good and smell good. She loved to have her home in order. She was absolutely one of God's favorites because HE continued to help her jump over one health hurdle after another. This last year has been the most difficult, as she was no longer strong enough to be mobile in her wheelchair. She loved passionately until the end and she was loved greatly by many.Ms. King leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Michelle Judon, New York; two grandchildren, Tasha and Maurice Judon, New York; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Will Williams, Sumter, SC; two sisters, Irene Rose and Martha Williams, Bishopville, SC; care-giver nephews and nieces, Russell and Dr. Bertha McCants, Sumter, SC and Minister Roland and Debora Goodman, Goose Creek, SC; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends whose lives she impacted.Ms. King was preceded in death by two children; Nathaniel Wilson and Dorothy Ann Wilson; four siblings; Harry Lee Williams, Eleanor Williams, Howard Williams and Sadie Williams; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Judon.
