Willie Edward Conyers, husband of Gracie Marie Robinson Conyers, was born June 19, 1953, in Clarendon County to the late John and Mary Billups Conyers. At an early age Willie accepted Christ into his life and joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Silver, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Clarendon and Sumter Counties and retired from Madison Industries where he worked for many years. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by three brothers, John Conyers Jr., Ervin Conyers, and Joe Conyers; one sister, Lucille Broderick; father-in-law, Richard "Pang" Robinson; three sisters-in-law, Sallie Ann Robinson, Mary Lee Holmes and Lucille Robinson; and one brother-in-law, Richard Robinson Jr. Willie heard and accepted His Master's calling on Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home. Willie leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, his wife, Gracie Conyers of the home; one daughter, Shalonda (Derek) Parson of Pinewood, SC; three grandchildren, Rakianna Robinson, Derrionna Parson and Derek Parson Jr. all of Pinewood, SC; five sisters, Rosa Lee Logan, Thelma (Vernell) Durant, Elnora Palmer, Deloris Green, and Genise (George) McConico all of Pinewood, SC; two brothers, Freddie (Thomasia) Conyers, of Pinewood, SC and Albert (Myra) Palmer of Sumter, SC; two sisters-in-law, Janet Robinson of Yonkers, NY, and Joanne (John) Walker of Pinewood, SC; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Lee (Joann) Robinson of Thomasville, NC and Murray Holmes of Pinewood, SC; a close friend, Jacob Bridge Jr;. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
