Obituary Uvette (Yvette) Jackson Wyche was born August 3, 1959 in Richmond, VA to Irma Jackson Woolridge and the late Henry Cofield.Yvette was raised in Richmond, VA and later moved to Philadelphia, PA where she graduated from Simon Gratz High School. Upon completion of high school, she served in the US Army. Yvette, fondly known as "Redbone" and "Mert" was loved and cherished by all. Most recently, Yvette took pride in the work she did and the many friends she made as part of the Custodial Staff at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.Yvette was preceded in death by her father, Henry Cofield; stepfather, Raymond Mosley; sister, Marva Jo Jackson-Best; aunt, Wilnette Robinson; uncle, Rudolph Jackson.Yvette departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA.Yvette is survived by her husband, Duke Wyche; her mother, Irma Woolridge; grandmother, Mary Jackson-Williams; two sisters, Mary Jackson and Kathy R. Latham (David); two uncles, Jerome Jackson and Roland Cofield (Mary); three aunts, Antionette Daniels, Joyce Hines (Frank) and Vernell Cofield; two devoted life long friends, Marilyn Robinson and Marsha Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Watkins Community Chapel, 2701 Garland Avenue, Richmond, VA.
