Travis Demond Rouse, affectionately known as "Putt", was born July 1, 1989, in Sumter, South Carolina to Vicky Rouse (Freddie) McKenzie and Calvin Ragin. Travis was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was employed by various employers including Target, Prestage Farms and was currently doing automotive mechanical work. Travis loved his family and friends and enjoyed the challenges of working and fixing cars. He started a business that he named "Taking A Chance Auto". Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Geneva Sumpter and paternal grandfather, Robert E. Ragin. Travis departed this life on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Sumter, South Carolina. Travis leaves to cherish his memories, parents, Vicky (Freddie) McKenzie and Calvin Ragin; five sons, Cry'Shun Rouse, Kaysin Townsend, Travis Rouse, Jr., Sincere Rouse, and Jayccon Rouse; one daughter, Promyse Rouse; two sisters, Nicole Rouse and Tedria Bell; three brothers, Justin McKenzie, Dimarcus Bell and Trymond Rubin; grandmother, Maggie Ragin; seven uncles, Tyrone (Nikki) Sumpter, Jonathan (Mary) Ragin, Robert Lee (Marie) Ragin, Willie James (Hattie) McKenzie, Willie Lee McKenzie, George (Loretta) McKenzie and Lincoln (Harriet) McKenzie; eight aunts, Angeniller (Demetrius) McDuffie, Georgia (Larry) Davis, Charlotte (Frank) Peterson, Doris (Jimmie) Moore, Carol Scarborough, Aretha Ragin, Mary McKenzie and Janie McKenzie; a special friend, Natassia Dow; five children that he raised as his own, Jayceon Lee, Jaylen Dow, Jayden Dow, Mariah Dow and Khalia Davis; two special friends, Travis Miller and Lorenzo Sumpter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
