But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagle, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 God saw that he was getting tired and called him home to rest. Toney Loney departed his earthly life on October 10, 2020. Toney was born on September 8, 1964 in Sumter to the beloved parents Mary L. Loney and the late James A. Loney. At an early age he joined The Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee for numerous manufacturing companies to include Campbell Soup, Exide, Caterpillar and Nucor. He had a passion for dogs and cars and especially his beloved family. Toney was a graduate of Hillcrest High School Class of 1983. He was a very special person who was well known and he made friends wherever he went. He was always willing to help someone in need. This reason he was loved and cherished by many from all walks of life. He made it a priority to contact his family members everyday especially his mom. Everyone in the family knew she favored him and we were all "Ok" with it. He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife of thirty-one years, Georgia Loney; three sons, Marcus Alston, Toney (Contessa) Wright and Derrick Loney; five daughters, Shiree (Kandriqua) Halley, Daysha Dennis, Melva Wright, Serena Loney and Kaisha Loney; twenty-one special grandchildren; one brother, James R. Loney; four sisters, Joan Vaughn, Barbara (David) Wells, Nikki Richardson and Evonne (Kelvin) Peterson; a mother-in-law, Annie Felder; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Felder and Barbara Holland; one brother-in-law, Willie (Doretha) Black Felder, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends.
