Mr. Thomas Boulware was born on June 24, 1935 in Ridgeway, South Carolina, a son of the late James and Millie Scott Boulware. Thomas was educated in the public schools of Camden, SC and North Carolina.One faithful night Thomas heard the gospel and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. On that night he was baptized and has been running for Jesus ever since. Thomas was a member of the Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon for over 20 years.Thomas believed in hard work and worked diligently at Campbell Soup until his retirement in 1991. Even then working was still in his veins and he went to work for the City of Sumter and performed lawn care services in his spare time. Thomas was a provider for his family and worked until his illness caused him to retire.Thomas leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Georganna W. Boulware; two sons, Gerald Boulware of California and Warren Boulware of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Pearlestine (Robert) Gibson of Timmonsville, SC; one brother, Melvin Boulware of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Mamie Smith of Rocky Mount, NC and Alma Stinson of Patterson, NJ; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Boulware; two sisters, Thelma Tate and Ethel Boulware; and a son, Kenneth Wilson.
