Thelma Elizabeth Peah was born on February 2, 1948, in Sumter, SC to the late Daisy Evans Montgomery and the late Aaron Brown. At 9 years old, she relocated to Cleveland, OH with her mother and some of her siblings. There, she attended John Hay High School, Cuyahoga Community College and Lawton School. On September 10, 1979, Thelma met her husband, Solomon Peah, Sr. in Cleveland, OH. At the age of 20 years old, she gave birth to her first child followed by six more beautiful children. Thelma was a God-fearing woman, an amazing wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and she was known for being family oriented. She enjoyed cooking, shopping (because she was known fashionista), line dancing, traveling, playing bingo, watching movies, and grew a closer relationship to God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Brown two sisters, Dorothy Coleman and Lillie Mae Johnson, five brothers, Warren Montgomery, Eugene Montgomery, Elijah Montgomery, Willie Lee Brown and Aaron Brown Jr. Thelma transitioned peacefully at home, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 7:59 AM in Concord, NC surrounded by her loving family members. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her husband, Solomon Peah, Sr; her children; Gwendolyn Brown, Geraldine Brown, Solomon Peah Jr., Thyra Peah, Michael (daughter-in-law, Janai) Peah and Felicia Peah (fiancé, Keanu Braithwaite); sister-in-law, Sue Montgomery; sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
