Sydrina was born April 14, 1966, to the late Lucius Hollowman and Nancy Lee Sumpter- Hicks in Brooklyn, New York. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. She was educated in Bishopville, South Carolina and graduated from Bishopville High School in 1984. She attended South Carolina State University. She enjoyed working with the Sumter County School District as a special education teaching assistant and a school bus driver. Most recently, Sydrina was working with the RTA Transportation System as a driver. Sydrina was affectionately known as "Buz" to her friends and family and "Momma" to her children. She enjoyed having a good time and was the life of the party. She enjoyed attending church, shopping, traveling to see her friends and family, and playing with her granddog, Africa. Sydrina Sumpter, 57, traded her earthly home for a "Better One Bright and Fare", on Monday, January 1, 2024. Sydrina is survived by her son LaQuan "Kooda" (LaChe') Sumpter of Columbia, SC, daughters JaNancy Sumpter-Ragin, JaHaley Sumpter Ragin, and Sydrina Sabrienne Thomas; siblings: Benny Hollowman, Gregory Hollowman, Melissa Hollowman, and Cindy Holloman. She also leaves to cherish her memories: her South Carolina family, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, her church family, and her dear friend Mr. Robert Horton. We love you Buz, but we know you would say, "I love you more, bo!"
