She was educated in the public schools of St. Thomas, Virgin Island and was a 1989 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School. Shyra  loved her kids along with her grandchildren. She loved to laugh, shop, work, cook and socialize with others and she especially loved her pets. She was employed with Koyo as a security guard. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents and other family members. She departed this life on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Sumter, SC. She leaves to cherish her memoires; a daughter, Uniquega James; two sons, Rasheem James and James Major; her father, Austin Boynes, Sr.; a loving companion, Marcial Gough; a sister, Crystal Bowe-Brown; four brothers, Keith Andrews, Troy Andrews, Shawn Hodge and Austin Boynes, Jr.; two granddaughters, A'nya James and Ariel James and a host of other relatives and friends.   To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Shyra Lynn Boynes, please visit our floral store.
