Obituary   Shirley Ann Capers was born July 1, 1959 in Sumter, SC to Martha Lee  Capers Given and the late Cornell W. Brown. Shirley Ann was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, SC. Shirley Ann loved to laugh, cook and socialize. She enjoyed feeding food in the neighborhood and could always be seen riding with Doretha, her best friend. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Isabella London and a sister, Brenda Givens. Shirley Ann departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in Sumter, SC. Shirley Ann leaves to cherish her precious memories; three daughters, Theresa Capers of Irmo, SC, Lakisha McCray and Eboney White of Sumter, SC; two brothers, Levelton Givens of Goose Creek, SC and Raymond Givens of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Diane Givens and Tammy Benbow of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren, Devontai Capers of Irmo, SC, Kelvin (Alexus) Capers of Pensacola, FL, Shakima (Terrell) Titus of Columbia, SC, Kiana Green of Irmo, SC, Johnya  and   Jonathan White McCray both of Sumter, SC; five   great-grandchildren Keyon Capers, Leshae' Capers, A'laynah  Capers, Zayon Titus and Sah'majae Titus; a best friend,    Doretha Williams of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces,  nephews, other relatives and friends.     To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Shirley Ann Capers, please visit our floral store.
