Obituary Sherrod Carlton "Rod-Daddi" Smith was born January 26, 1989 in Sumter, to Mary Sinkler and Stanley Smith. He was thehusband of Gloria N. Smith.He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He obtained his CDL at the Palmetto Training, Inc. Driver Training School of Sumter and later worked at Carolina Cargo. He was a member of Beulah UME Church and Fourth Crossroad Baptist Church in Manning, SC.Sherrod was an outgoing person that loved fun and was always the life of the party. He had a deep love for all his family and friends.Sherrod was preceded in death by his grandmother Carrie Sinkler, a brother in-law Alphonza Nelson, Jr.He departed this life on Friday, April 3, 2020.He leaves to cherish beautiful memories: his wife, Gloria Nelson Smith; his children Dimaurion Williams, Jordyn Nelson, Eva Smith; his loving parents; Stanley (Kimberly) Smith and Mary Sinkler (Kevin Fletcher); six sisters, Natasha Sinkler, Pamela (Rickie) Turner, Diana Ward, Kiara Smith, Shenekquie Brown, Patience Smith; three brothers, Antonio (Valarie) Archie, Stefan Smith, Anthony Gamble; a very special niece, Siera Sinkler, whom he raised as his own; his grandparents Charlie Mathis and Judy Smith; a mother - in-law, Mary Ann (Alphonza) Nelson Sr; seven aunts, Juanita (Donald) Sinkler, Pearl Sinker, a very special aunt, Victoria (Warren) House, Constance (Jimmy) Vaugh, Ericka (Bryant) Logan, Kimberly (Jeremiah) Oliver and Andrea Branch; one uncle, Richard Sinkler; four sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; three special cousins Christopher Sinkler, Brandon Sinkler, Tirek Williams; two special friends Quentrill White and Kibwe Jones; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends who all deeply miss him.
