Obituary Shameka Nicole Nathaniel was the daughter of George Nathaniel and Helen McGill. She was born on April 18,1988 in Sumter, South Carolina. She attended public school in Sumter County and was a 2007 graduate of Crestwood High School. She was a licensed nail technician and very gifted in doing hair. She enjoyed many other creative hobbies such as: cooking, sewing, designing clothes, and writing poetry. Shameka was often the life of family gatherings. Her smile had the ability to light up any room and in any situation. She was known for telling stories of past events that would always make everyone cherish the past and look forward to a brighter future. As a youth, she worshiped at Greater Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Marvin Hodge Sr. As an adult, she later joined Faith With Works Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Herman Blanding until her untimely passing. Shameka leaves to cherish three beautiful daughters: Akemah Washington, Nyemah Hart, and Maleina Boyd, loving parents, Helen and Barkley McGill of Lynchburg, South Carolina, George and Barbara Nathaniel of Augusta Georgia, three brothers, Cornelius Nathaniel of Beaverton, Oregon, Diont'e Nathaniel of Ansbach Germany, and Jamel McGill of Sumter South Carolina, two nieces, a nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, many relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ms. Susie Porter and maternal grandparents Mr. James Rhineheart and Mrs. Helen Ann Burgess.
