She was a graduate of Morris College.She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and was a faithful member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Hampton, Sr., her son and daughter- in-law Alonza and Ruth Ann Hampton; her siblings-Ellison, Jr., James, and Elijah Moses.She departed this earthly journey on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Reverend Sidney Hampton, Jr. (Rita) of Sumter, S.C., Annette H. Anderson (A.C.) of Mayesville, S.C., two adopted daughters, Gertie Dobson of Lynchburg, S.C. and Rosa L. Jefferson of Mayesville, S.C., one-sister-in-law, Mary Moses of Mayesville, S.C., twelve grandchildren, Catina Strong, Antoinette Hampton, Christopher, Sr, (Priscessa) Copeland, Deirdre Hicks, Luke Hicks, III, Mauriel (Candance) Tomlin, Latoya (Travis) Hopkins, Denise Kirkland, Marie Davis, Jessie Moses, Essie Anderson and Lakesha (Jeffie) Grant. Eighteen Great-Grands, and two Great-Great-Grands; a host of other relatives and friends.
