Graduated from Lincoln High School in Sumter, SC. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her two sons, James Willie "Milkbone" Jones and Phillip Terry Jones. Sarah leaves to cherish her loving memories with her daughter, Gwendolyn Sweat of the home; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Dukes of Charlotte, NC, Xavier Bennet of Sumter, SC, Shanita Jones York of Columbia, SC, Jamell Sweat of Sumter, SC; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
