Sandra Kayden Wright was born on September 27, 1951, to Reverend Albert Wright and Lillie Mae Durant. She attended schools in the Sumter County school district. Sandra, affectionately known as "Sand," was a beloved member of her community. She was known for warmly greeting others and her love for a soda, snack, or cookie. Sandra enjoyed spending time outdoors, collecting rocks, and sharing her infectious smile. A lover of music, she especially enjoyed hymns and attended several churches, including St. James Methodist and Reid Chapel AME. Sandra was preceded in death by her loving parents, late Rev. Albert Wright and Lillie Mae Durant; and her sister, Dorothy Smith and her stepfather, Lem June. Sandra Wright passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Sandra is survived by her sisters, Naomi Washington, Winnie Harris, Patricia Washington, Betty June, and Rovenia Dinkins; brothers Eric June and Walter June; and a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends.   Sandra will forever be remembered for her kindness, joy, and the love she shared with everyone she met.  She will be missed.
