Charles.  She was born in Sumter County to the late Josh and Maybelle Kind Charles.Sadie was educated in the public schools of Sumter County.  Early in life she began her Christian education by joining the Enon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. T.O. Everett.  She was  a 1961 graduate of Lincoln High School.After graduation, she relocated to make her home in New York.  There God favored her with employment opportunities that allowed her to grow professionally.  For over 40 years she worked as a senior jeweler and served many years in retail management.Her personal growth led her to be wed in  Holy Matrimony to the late Jesse L. Brunson.She continued her spiritual growth by joining the Trinity Baptist Church where she became a model member as she sought and pursued God's purpose for her life.Sunset for Sadie came on April 5,2020 at the Montefiore Hospital, Bronx ,New York.Her legacy and memories will be celebrated by a loving and doting son, Anthony Craig Brunson (Prisca); a dedicated daughter, Delcia Nicole Mendez ( Felix); four  grandchildren she loved profoundly, Dani A. Mendez, Joelle E. Mendez, Morgan T. Brunson and Kennedy Megan Brunson. A faithful and devoted companion, Garfield Hoyt; children she reared: Christopher, Anthony and Krystal Brunson; two brothers, Josh Charles Jr. (Susanna); Raymond Earl Charles (Grace), Sumter, S.C., one sister, Cassaundra Anderson, Columbia, S.C. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will all miss her dearly. Goddaughters                                                                                            Sadie had mountains of friends that cherished and adored her.  She was a strict, straight forward no nonsense person that was also kind loving and generous to a fault. Each of her many nieces and nephews have a personal moment that they've shared with their aunt that will bring a smile to your face. She lived this earthly life so that she now lives again.
