Roy Lindell Rogers was born on March 11, 1979, to Roy and Carolyn Brisbon Rogers, in Sumter, South Carolina. Roy received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, Roy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Mt. Olive AME Church in Woodrow, South Carolina. He had a passion for cooking. God, in His infinite wisdom came into our midst and took our beloved Roy Lindell Rogers. He departed this life on Friday, January 3, 2025. Roy was preceded in death by one sister, Caronda Rogers; maternal grandparents, Inez Hollman and Hosea Brisbon; paternal grandparents, Tallie (Lillie) Rogers; three uncles, Alexander Brisbon, Timmie Rogers, Harold Rogers; and one aunt, Hattie Woodall. Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Roy and Carolyn Brisbon Rogers; two sisters, Yolanda and Shakali Rogers of Sumter, South Carolina; two nephews, Kendall Kyleek and Kendall Marquel; four nieces, Kanya, Garia, Jaleah, and Journee all of Sumter, South Carolina; seven aunts, Lacresia Chernak of New York, Marie Rogers, Lillie (Johnny) Johnson, Dianne Pauley (Hersyl), Carol (Lincoln) Major, Debra (Harrison) Smith of Sumter, South Carolina, and Essie (Thomas) Julius of Irvington. New Jersey; two uncles, John (Shirley) Rogers and Jimmy Rogers of Sumter, South Carolina and a host of cousins' other relatives and friends.
