Rose Marie Rich was born on November 4, 1967, to the late William and Delores Rich in Sumter County, South Carolina. Niecey, as she was affectionately called, received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. She was a member of the graduating class of 1986 from Sumter High School. After graduation, Niecey devoted her life to being a caregiver. She worked tirelessly to help her sisters and nieces raise their children. During her later years she became employed as a professional caregiver. She provided homecare service to elderly clients while continuing to care for her nieces and nephews. Niecey enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending live music concerts. She enjoyed living life! Niecey was many things to many people; sister, cousin, auntie, niece, and friend. She loved to laugh and smile, but she played no games when it came to protecting her loved ones. Niecy loved the Lord and she strived to live a life that was pleasing in His sight. She was a member of Truly Committed Missionary Baptist Church where she worshipped faithfully until her health began to decline. In addition to her parents, Niecey was preceded in death by a sister, Glory Jean Rich-Grant; and a niece, whom she reared in her home, Lolita Rich. On March 1, 2024, Niecey was called from labor to reward. Niecey leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Michelle (Reginald) Rich Anderson, Monique (Reginald) Primus; nephew-son, Chrishon Washington; special cousin, David Anthony Rich; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
