Ronald Bernardric Ragin Jr, 34, son of Ronald B. Ragin Sr. and Geraldine James Ragin was born on November 12, 1988, in Sumter, SC. Ronald begun his primary schooling in Sumter SC and completed subsequent schooling in Georgia. He graduated from Herchel V. Jenkins High School in Savannah, GA. Ronald received his formal college education from Paine College in Augusta, GA, Central Texas College, Fort Lee, VA and Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. Ronald had many accomplishments. He could speak multiple languages, such as Tagala, Japanese and Spanish. One of Ronald's proudest moments was being afforded the opportunity to be a part of several movies. The last one being "Next Goal Wins" scheduled to come out in September 2023. Ronald accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church in Wilsons, VA, where he was under the leadership of Pastor Kim S. White. In 2017, he moved to Iwakuni, Japan and in 2019, he relocated to Ewa Beach, HI. Ronald was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hannibal James, Jr. and Ida Mae James, and paternal grandparents, William Ragin, Sr. and Julia Ann Howard Ragin. Ronald departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Queens Medical Center, Honolulu, HI. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Ronald and Geraldine James Ragin of Ewa Beach, HI; four uncles, Jessie (Lydia) James, Alonzo Howard, Reginald D. Ragin, all of Sumter, SC, and Williams Ragin, Jr. of Concord, NC; four aunts, Mary (Vernell) Durant, Kimberly (Willie) Singleton, both of Sumter, SC, Diane Gary, of Charlotte, NC, and Julie Ann Boiler, of Columbia, SC; grandmother, Marilyn Ragin, of Sumter, SC; nine great uncles; ten great aunts, and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. The family is receiving family and friends at 531 Woodfield Lane Sumter, South Carolina.
