Robert Earl McLeod was born into this earthly world on July 5, 1962, in Sumter, South Carolina to the late George, Sr. and Odessie Cook McLeod. Robert Earl was a dedicated and hard worker for the City of Sumter and Sumter County Public Works Highway Departments for over twenty years until his health declined.  In addition to his parents, Robert Earl was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathern McLeod Isaac and Dorothy Mae Stukes; and three brothers, Willie McLeod, James Daniel McLeod and George McLeod. Robert Earl departed this life on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Sumter, South Carolina. Robert Earl leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Erica Sumpter and MyKesha Ford: two sons, Robert McLeod, Jr. and Eric (Tosha) Sumpter; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Melvin (MaeBell) McLeod; two sisters, Willie Mae Porche and Ruby McLeod; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
