Obituary Richard Nixon Holland a son of the late John E. and Thelma Louise Spann Holland was born January 19, 1960 in  Pinewood, SC. He received his formal education in the public schools of Sumter District Two in Sumter, SC. Richard was raised in a Christian Home and at an early age, he accepted Christ and joined New Hope Union Methodist Church in Pinewood, SC. In his youth, he was a member of the Young Adult Choir and Usher Board. Richard worked various jobs including working for Santee Print Works, Madison Industries and Gold Kist until his health declined. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Briggette R. Williams Holland. In addition to his wife and parents, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Holland, Jr. Richard departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter, SC.  Richard memories will forever by cherish by his two  children, Kenneth (Jennifer) Williams of Wedgefield, SC and Brittany Holland of Salisbury, NC; one brother, Larry  Holland of Pinewood, SC; two sisters Earnestine (Bishop Powell) Hampton of Pinewood, SC and Lucretia (James) Mashore of Sumter, SC, four grandchildren; one uncle, Johnny Spann, Sr. of Pinewood, SC; four aunts, Jamie H. Taylor, Shirley H. Davis, Willie Mae Holland all of Sumter, SC and Annie Mae Spann of Pinewood, SC; a friend, Rosetta Williams of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A face mask/covering will be required while attending all services and viewings.
