As the second son born to Eretha, Reggie was very energetic and certainly not one to sit still. He took every opportunity to go outside of the home for adventure and fun. He was very strong-willed and strong-minded. He would instantly let you know how he felt on any given topic. Reggie had an infectious personality that made him popular amongst family and friends. He was not ashamed of the spotlight and was often the center of attention wherever he would go. Reggie's smile and candor was always a refreshing change of pace in any setting. Reggie was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Sumter High School. He completed one year of college at Morris College in Sumter. Professionally, he was employed by the Commissary at Fort Jackson in Columbia. Reggie was an avid sports fan. He loved the Indianapolis Colts; whose team colors coincided with his favorite color, blue. It is no surprise that the Colts was his favorite team, especially since Reggie spent many childhood years in Fort Wayne, IN. In addition to his father, Reggie was preceded in death by his brother, Armard Coy Clay. Reggie departed this life on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. As an adored son, brother, father, fiancé and grandfather; he will be missed dearly. Reggie leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Tiasia Nyanna Green and Kandace L'Keisha Belton; grandchild, Kahliko Reed; mother, Eretha Green of Sumter, SC; one sister, Sarah Hudgins of Columbia, SC; three brothers, Marcus Green of Okinawa, Japan, Brian Ray of Atlanta, GA and Shannon Clay of Charlotte, NC; fiancé, Krystal Kypo and her son, Keanukala'I, both of Columbia and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.
