He was educated in the Republic of Trindad and Tobago, where he learned his trade as an electrician. He loved his trade and worked for many Electrical organizations. Upon his death, he was currently working for Triple T Electric INC in Sumter, SC. His co-workers called him "Pops" since he was a "Few" years their senior. He enjoyed working around his home, helping his neighbors and friends when needed. Raphael was an Elder at Sumter-Seventh-Day Adventist Church and he performed electrical work around the church. He was a lifelong man of faith and enjoyed being in the house of the Lord every Sabbath. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several family members, Eugene Nakhid, Jerome Minors and Bennett Padmore. He departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Sumter, SC. On January 23, 2022, he would have been celebrating twenty-three years of marriage to his loving wife. Raphael leaves to cherish his memories; his beloved wife, Gwen Padmore; five children, Raphael Padmore, Jr of Winston Salem, NC, Richard (Gina) Padmore of Austin, TX, Shani Nelson of Covington, GA, Stanley (Alexandria) Nelson of Sumter, SC and Oswald (Krista) Walker of Manchester, NH; six siblings, Ann Minors, Jean Nakind, Bernadette Mendez, Hannah (Alloy) Bryce, Dolores Padmore and Meaureen Padmore all from Trinidad and Tobago; sister-in-law, Joycelyn Padmore, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
