Queen Elizabeth Bolden was born on May 27, 1930, in Sumter County. She was the daughter of the late Elijah McDuffie and Mattie Ann Pearson.

Queen attended the public schools of Sumter County. Queen lived a life rooted in faith, love, strength, and compassion. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Queen was a sweet woman, who made everyone feel special when they were around her. Family and friends naturally gravitated toward her warm and loving spirit. Queen took great pride in her home and found joy in cooking, cleaning, and often showing her love in delicious meals and a warm welcoming home.

Queen was married to the late Isaac Bolden, Jr.

In addition to her parents, Queen was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Bolden, Jr.; a beloved son, and a beloved daughter.

Queen departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Sumter, South Carolina.

Queen leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted children, Charles (Loretta) McDuffie and Shirl Bolden, both of Sumter SC; ten grandchildren, Eric Glover, Cutrise Simmons, Kenyard Bolden, Kenyarda Bolden, Lavonda McFadden, Devin Bolden, Jamara Richburg, Demetrius Bolden, Tasha Robinson, Tiffany Abrams and Gregory Bennett; thirty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love and memories they shared with her.
