https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/minister-pearl-h-williams Minister Pearl H. Williams was born March 5, 1945, in Sumter, SC to the late Otis and Thelma Bracey Hodge. Pearl was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Manchester High School in 1964. After graduation, she moved to Portchester, NY to a sleep in job and later gained employment with the Life Saver Candy Company. During her time in New York, Pearl attended modeling school and did some professional modeling. She later landed her dream job as a secretary for the County of White Plains, NY. Pearl was a faithful member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in White Plains, NY, where she was very active. Upon her retirement, she relocated back to Sumter, SC and worked for the Third Judicial Circuit of Sumter County Solicitor's Office as a Pretrial Intervention Counselor from 1988 to 2000. She was also a member of the SC Pretrial Association. After her time with the Solicitor's Office and then J C Penny's, Pearl went into full retirement. Pearl was a member of Abundant Life Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Moore and became a licensed minister. Later, she united with the Church of God by Faith #1 in Sumter under the leadership of Elder Mack Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Kornegay and one brother, Junior Hodge. Minister Williams departed this life on Monday, November 14, 2022, in Sumter, SC. Minister Williams leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, John H. Williams, Jr.; son, Tzephanyah (Tara) Abraham aka Steve Williams; two stepsons, Larry Brown and John (Lisa) Williams; two stepdaughters, Tracey Williams and Shana Morris; six grandchildren, Steve Williams, Brittney Williams, Andrew Williams, Mikha'el Abraham, Tinoqet Abraham and Sholomoh Abraham; one great granddaughter, Kamaya Williams; four sisters, Betty H. (Phillip) Wilkins, Gloria H. Glisson, Viola H. (Lucious) Magazine and Thelma H. (Earnest) Brown; two brothers, James (Ruthie) Hodge and Bishop Marvin (Ada) Hodge; four aunts, Sophia (Jeremiah) Ealey, Alice Bracey, Rosa Lee Bracey and Louise Hodge; sisters-in-law, Ella Hodge and Rosetta Williams; brother-in-law, Marshall Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Indeed, Pearl was a very classy and sassy lady, that was full of life, and always was the life of the party. The family is receiving friends daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 3880 Artesian Drive in Sumter SC
