Orbedella Wright, daughter of the late Theodore Wright, Sr. and Hester Nixon Wright, was born December 19, 1962 in Sumter, South Carolina.  She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Ms. Wright was raised in a Christian home and learned early in life the value of discipline, hard work and the meaning of family. She was an active member at High Hills A. M. E.  Throughout her life Orbedella worked for various factories but her last place of employment was NHC, Sumter as a cafeteria assistant. She was always willing to help others in the community when asked.  Orbedella Wright departed this earthly life on Sunday April 20, 2025 at NHC Sumter, SC.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Harry Lee Nixon, Theodore Jr, Ransom, Joseph, Charles, Samuel, and Jerry Wright. Orbedella leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Matthew (Jami) Wright of Charlotte, NC;  one daughter, Destiny Wright of Rembert, SC; four sisters, Elnora Littles, Lue Alice Singleton, Pamela Wright, and Carolyn Ansah of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren, Z'yon Sanders, Kaylen Cloyd, and Angel Cloyd; aunts, Josephine Callahan and Dorothy Nixon of Long Island, NY, Dorcas Williams, and Emma (Lewis) Howard of Sumter, SC; uncles, Dr. Roosevelt (Calpernia) Nixon of New Jersey and Florence Glasco of Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
