Obituary Odell Pringle Dukes, wife of the late Frank Dukes, was born on August 21, 1932 to the late James and Otencia Gaymon Pringle. She was born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter, South Carolina. Odell was a lifelong member of Mulberry Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina. Odell, or more fondly known as "Munchie", "Monkey", or "Dell", has been a help to others her whole life. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She has helped raise and foster many children in her lifetime. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and watching western TV series. She also displayed an immense love for cats.  Odell was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters, and 3 brothers. Odell received her wings on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter, Shirley Dukes of Sumter, SC; one granddaughter, Joy Dukes of Sumter, SC; one sister, Mary Mack of Sumter, SC.
