Obituary

Mrs. Nora Jane Prince was born on April 15, 1955 in Sumter, South Carolina, to the late Joseph and Katie Levine Green. Nora received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. She was employed at the Sumter Laundry Cleaners for 12 years. Nora was also employed by the Sumter School District for 10 years until her health started to decline. She was a member of Congruity Presbyterian Church. Nora was a loving person that brought everyone together. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music and was always the life of the party. She had a contagious smile that would brighten up any room. To know her was to love her. On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the quiet hour of 2:50am, Nora answered the call from our Heavenly Father and slipped peacefully into eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Louis Green; three sisters, Flossie Sanders, Annie Laura Green, and Mary McDowell; son-in-law, Anthony Reed; and mother-in-law, Olive Charles. Nora leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving husband, Lewis Prince; three sons, Willie (Frances Lewis) Green, Tommy (Paula) Robinson, and Kelvin Robinson; two daughters, Samantha Reed Robinson and Nikkie Robinson; one brother, John (Loretta) Green; seven sisters, Sadie Evans, Estella Wells, Alfreda Williams, Katie Green, Jeanette Green, Carrie Rose, and Barbara (Martin) Tinsley; brother-in-law, Calvin Prince; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and three special friends who loved her like a sister, Linda Greene, Sherriol Kelly, and Barbara Green.
