Nathaniel "George" Copeland was born on March 9, 1957 in St. Charles, South Carolina to the late Mattie Gaymon-Jones. He was raised in the home of the late Harry and Maggie Copeland. Nathaniel was educated in the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. He retired from Sonoco Recycling as a Transportation Driver in May 2024. Nathaniel was a strong believer in God and often found comfort in the Holy Word. Preserving his Christian journey, he became a member of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Men's Choir. "George", as he was affectionately called, was a hardworking man who loved his Cadillacs, regardless of whether it was his car or truck, and he took pride in his wardrobe, especially his suits.
