Morse Neal Jackson Jr., was born October 29, 1954, in Richmond, Virginia to the late Hattie Booker and Morse Neal Jackson, Sr.
As a teen Morse moved to Westbury, New York and was educated in the school systems of Westbury, New York. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, which afforded him the opportunity to travel and spend time on the West Coast.
Morse was married and to this union three children were born Jonathan, Donnell and Rosemary.
Family and friends will fondly remember “Junie” for his large, unmistakable personality, headstrong and passionate about those he loved, quick to laugh, and always ready to celebrate life.
Morse wore his heart on his sleeve and found great peace in the mild weather and tranquil landscapes of South Carolina, a place that brought him comfort in later years. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and grandparents.
Morse was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Sumter, South Carolina.
Morse leaves to cherish his memories, three children, Jonathan Jackson, Donnell Jackson, and Rosemary Jackson; six grandchildren who were the true joy of his life and a host of other relatives and friends.
