Milton White, Jr. was born February 22, 1950, in Selma Alabama to the late Milton and Willie Mae Sams White, Sr. and raised in Snow Hill, Alabama.
Milton was educated in the public schools of Snow Hill, Alabama. He relocated to Bronx, New York in 1968. Later he met his beloved and devoted wife, Jessie Mae Williams-White. Milton was a barber by trade until he left New York in 1990. After relocating to Sumter, South Carolina, he began working in construction, for over twenty (20) years until his retirement. Milton was loved by all and recognized for his willingness to help.
Milton was a great father, son, brother, cousin, and friend to all. Milton loved listening to music, fishing, hunting and landscaping. He fixed his own vehicles and could build almost anything. Milton was straight forward, honest, humble, and easily satisfied.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his oldest son, Rickey Williams; brother, Frank White; and a sister, Louise White.
Milton White, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday February 4, 2026, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Milton leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Jessie Mae Williams White; two sons, James (Sandra) Williams of Dalzell, South Carolina and Milton Anderson of Tuskegee, Alabama; three daughters, his eldest, Stephanie White of Sumter, South Carolina, Deirdre Anderson of Yonkers, New York, and Ebony Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Douglas White, Robert White and Jerome White; one sister, Evelyn White; four sisters-in-law, Rovena Everett, Carolyn Williams, Mary Taylor and Cynthia James; a very special friend, Broderick Clinkscales; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.
