Obituary Thorpe, McCollins - Peacefully passed away at Duke Medical Center in Durham on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Mr. Thorpe was born on January 17, 1943 in Person County to the late Edward and Vida Mae Taborn Thorpe. A visitation and public viewing will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at New Hope Person Missionary Baptist Church, Timberlake, North Carolina.
