Mary Magdalene Morrison Ingram, the wife of Kaiser Ingram, Jr, was born April 2, 1947, in Sumter, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Persena Gamble Stewart and the late Henry Thomas Russell. Mary received her formal education at Lincoln High School of Sumter, South Carolina. She accepted Christ as her Savior at St. Paul Holiness Church of Sumter, South Carolina where she served as the president of the usher board, member of the choir, and coordinated the Easter programs. She later became a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Sumter, South Carolina where she continued to serve God and uplift others. In addition to her father, the late Henry Thomas Russell, Mary was preceded in death by both her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kaiser Ingram Sr. and Rachel Harvin Ingram; six sisters, Caretha (Lois) Green, Beatrice Roberson, Ernestine Wheeler, Dorothy Russell, Addie Herriott, and Amy Russell; five brothers-in-law, James Vaughn, James Wheeler, Lawrence (Beady) Herriott, and Leroy Brown; four nephews, Malcom (Freddie) Townsend, Michael Russell, John Herriott, Everett Russell, and Antonio Brown; and one niece, Cheryl Russell. Mary Ingram passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 61 years, Kaiser Ingram, Jr; mother, Persena Gamble Stewart; children, Mary Kathleen Ingram, Karen Ingram Keitt, Ray Ingram Sr, Lerone (Tracye) Ingram Sr., and Darren Ingram; two special children raised as her own, Leta (Gregory) Morrison Dennis, and Jamesey Morrison; three sisters, Pauline Russell, Lureece (Antonio) Brown, and Dinell Pratt; three brothers, Henry Russell, Robert Russell, and Johnny Russell; three sisters-in-law, Idella (Winston) Richardson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Frances (John) Smiling; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends, and a loyal and dedicated caregiver, Verdenice Scott, CNA.
