Obituary Mary Louise Cotton Caughman was born January 8, 1927 in Lee County, SC to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Webster Cotton and the wife of the late John Caughman Sr.Mary was educated in the public schools of Lee County.Mary was a beautiful woman who was always happy and in good spirits. She accepted Christ to be her personal Savior in 1970's. She was a faithful member of the Salvation Army for 25 years. From August 2010 to March 2015, Mary was a resident of National Health Care. She loved everyone who worked there and was well taken care of.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Caughman; three sisters, Emily Poole, Guniva Hodge and Gurtrude Belvine and two brothers, Dick Cotton and Billy Cotton.She passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: her loving children Katherine Brown of Florence, John Caughman, Jr of Sumter, Charles Caughman (Debbie) of Sumter, Janet Smith (Clyde) of Sumter, James Caughman of Tennessee, Sara Osborn (Johnie) of Sumter and Ruby Kucera of Sumter; sixteen grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe), Cher Sanchez, Jeanette, James, Ishamel, Tyrone, Samantha (Herbert), Vanessa (Darryl), Stacey (Antrell). Vincent (Elicia), Crystal (Frank), Allan Ditty Jr (Angel), Elizabeth Barfield (Paul) and Jeff Bowers; a sister; Virginia; seventeen great-grandchildren; nephew Lester Poole (Rachel) and a host of other relatives and friends.
