Marvin "Shorty" Lang, husband of Louise Moore Lang, was born on February 18, 1935 in Sumter County, South Carolina, to the late Clifton Lang, Sr. and the late Essie Lang. Marvin grew up in Sumter County and was educated in the public school system. He worked several factory jobs, including William Furniture Company and Campbell Soup Company. Marvin spent his retirement time attending to his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, and watching all his favorite Western movies. On June 9, 1957, he was joined in holy matrimony to Louise Moore, and to this union two lovely daughters were born, Linda Marie and Patricia Ann Lang. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Marie White and Patricia Ann Long; siblings, Clifton Lang, Jr., Woodrow Lang, Eugene Lang and Thelma Lang Costen. Marvin peacefully passed away at his home in Wedgefield, SC on Monday, November 21, 2022. Marvin's memory will linger long in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Louise Moore Lang; son-in-law, Theodore White; four grandchildren, Marcus White, Candis (Charles) White Prioleau, Tedra Lang, and Angelica Lang; five great-grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a caring and devoted nephew, Raymond (Karen) Lang and several other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. "Shorty" will be missed by all.
