https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/marlon-broadnax Marlon (Donte') Dennis Broadnax, II , son of Annette Gardner-Johnson and the late Marlon Dennis Broadnax, Sr., was born on September 12, 1987 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. At an early age, Donte' gave his life to Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was under the leadership of Pastor Charles B Jackson of Brookland Baptist Church, West Columbia, South Carolina. Led by Pastor Kevin Lee, Donte' was a dutiful servant of Christ and member of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett, Snellville, Georgia. Donte' gained a rich education at Lexington School District 5 in Irmo, South Carolina. He briefly attended South Gwinnett High School and graduated in 2007 from Ooltewah High School in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Donte' studied art, political science, and history at Savannah School of Art, Art Institute of Atlanta, and Gwinnett Technical College. Donte's educational studies included Environmentalist, Animals, Insects, Graphic Design, Political Science Technology, Science, History, and Justice. Professionally, Donte' was an Educator, Artist, Assistant Manager, Project Manager and Consultant. Throughout his life, he was intent on not letting his health challenges define or limit him. At an early age, Donte' was diagnosed with Guillain Baree' Syndrome. However, he found joy and strength in the Lord and he never wavered in his fight to live life fully. Donte' often pushed past his physical pain to selflessly support his family and friends; rarely complaining, and always assisting and filling others with encouragement and optimism. Donte's mantra was "Making the world a better place for all". Peacefully on July 6, 2022, in his home, Donte' passed away to spend eternity with the Lord. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nolia Gardner; grandfather, James Broadnax; and uncles, Anthony Gardner and Butler James Broadnax. Donte' leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Annette Gardner Johnson; bonus dad, Robert Frank Johnson, Jr.; brother, Larri Devonte' Hillian; grandfather, Edward Gardner; grandmother, Emma Broadnax; four uncles, Michael (Rock) Gardner, Hampton (Harriett) Gardner, Scottie Wiley, and Steven Broadnax; three aunts, Denise Clark, Wanda Norris, Terri Broadnax-Wherry; nephew, Simere Uziyah Hillian; niece, Honesti Hillian; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
