She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Ebenezer High School in Dalzell, SC. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1968 at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church in Rochester, New York. She was a faithful member on the Missionary Board and sang on the Senior Choir. She was also a volunteer at church and in the community, where she feed the homeless. Lottie was referred to by her family and friends as "Ethel Mae". Lottie was a caring and giving person, who was willing to give her very last to anyone in need. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a giving and loving heart and would always talk to anyone that she came in contact with along her way. She always had love for her cats; she always put her family first and they will have a special place in her heart. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, E.J. McKenzie, and a sister, Clara McCloud. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Village of Orleans in Alboin, New York. Lottie leaves to cherish her fond memories; two loving sons, Terry (Elanora) Wade and Timothy Brown both of Rochester, NY; sister, Sallie (Deacon Ronald) Alston of Rembert, SC; seven grandchildren, SamaryJah, Ray Jr., Annissia, Savahn, Elise, Treyvon and Jamira all of Rochester, NY; aunt, Betty Watts of Rowland, NC; a special friend, Juantia Powell of Rochester, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
