Loretta Holliday Black, 60, of Sumter, South Carolina, was born on March 24, 1965, in Sumter, South Carolina, to the late Bessie Baxter and Henry Holiday, Sr. She was the beloved baby of fourteen children. Loretta received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. She was well known for her outgoing spirit, love for dancing, and her ability to light up any room she entered. Loretta was truly the life of the party her radiant smile, positivity, and upbeat attitude were contagious. She had a special way of making people feel seen and loved, which made her a cherished friend to many. Family meant everything to Loretta. She was deeply committed to those she loved and brought joy, laughter, and warmth to countless lives. Her memory will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Baxter and Henry Holliday, Sr.; her brothers, John Baxter, Jr., Prince Baxter, and Henry Holliday; her sister, Annie Singleton; her nieces, Yolanda Holiday and Debra Rhodes; her nephews, Joshua Edmondson and Tyrone Caughman; her grandnephew, Tommy Tindal and Nyheem Burgess grandniece Khanesia Commander. Loretta transitioned from this life on Monday, December 15, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, John Osborne, and her special friend, Alexander Black; her children, Latasha Holliday (Marco) of Orlando, Florida, Travis Holliday of Sumter, South Carolina, and Jason Holliday of Sumter, South Carolina. She is also survived by seven sisters, Pastor Joe Ann Baxter, Deborah (Bennie) Johnson, Mary Clark, Jacquline Holliday, Minnie Johnson, Helen (Perry) Edwards, and Lillie (Eddie) Williams, all of Sumter, South Carolina; two brothers, Robert Baxter (Dolores) and Lawrence ( Arthelia) Baxter, both of Sumter, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
