Linda McDowell Garner was born on October 30, 1966 to the late Willie McDowell and the late Pauline McDowell in Wedgefield, South Carolina. Linda attended the public schools of Sumter County. On Monday, July 18, 2022, as God was looking around His garden, He noticed an empty place. He looked down from the Heavens and saw the face of Linda. He came down and wrapped her in His arms and whispered, "Sweet Peace Be Yours", as He carried her away to live forever with Him. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Garner and a sister, Rosa Lee Morris. Loving memories will be cherished by her two daughters, Jessica Washington and Amanda Garner; three sisters, Mary Ann Bratton, Barbara (Clifford) Moses, both of Sumter, SC, and Betty Williams of New York; five brothers, Willie McDowell, Tony McDowell, George McDowell, Jimmy McDowell, all of Sumter, SC, and Michael Smith of Buffalo, NY; a special friend, William Wright; nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
