Levon Wilson began his life journey on Monday, January 31, 1977, when he was born to Elousie Murphy Wilson and the late Howard Lee, in Dillion, South Carolina; with his three sisters and one brother.  After dating for 18 years, he married his best friend and love of his life for six years, Brenda Wright. This union brought together a beautiful family of six daughters and one son.  Levon attended the public schools in Dillion, South Carolina.  He later moved to Sumter, South Carolina.  He was a hard worker and was employed at the Pilgrim's Pride Corporation, a manufacturing plant, in Sumter, SC. He worked there for over 14 years. Levon's hobbies were playing pool, basketball and watching football, especially his favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots.  His greatest joy was spending time with family.  He was a quiet, soft-spoken person to many, especially when it came to work and church.  But when it came to spending time with family, it showed how he loved to clown around and have fun! Levon joined Beulah AME Church of Sumter, South Carolina on Sunday, January 9, 2011.  While at Beulah, he was a faithful member of the Lay Organization and the Sons of Allen/Men's Club.  He especially enjoyed hearing God's preached word by his Pastor, Rev. Bruce.  His favorite song was "Holy Spirit, Fall Fresh on Me". The last preached word he heard from his Pastor deeply moved him.  He shared with his wife and closest friends these words:  "I'm Done--God has Changed My Life and I'm Living for the Lord!" Levon was preceded in death by his father, Howard Lee Wilson; grandparents, Annie Mae Baker, John (Pee Wee) Rogers, Bessie Murphy and Hubert Beathea; one son, Qushawn Alford.Jr.; father-in-law, Freeze Wright, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Daronda Wilson; and brother-in-law, Lenn Wright. Levon transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Levon leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted wife, Brenda Wright Wilson; six daughters, DoMeisha Alford, Symeisha Wilson, Olivia Wilson, Tamekia (Anthony) Perry, Lakelia Kennedy, and Latoya Wright; one son, Travis Wright; mother, Elousie M. Wilson; three sisters, Betty Mitchell, Melissa Wilson and Ella Murphy; one brother, Elder Howard Wilson; twelve grandchildren, King Brown, Qushawn Alford, Jr., Laurieann Wheeler, Tashema Perry, Shyheim Perry, Jawon Perry, Legend Kennedy, Jaquarius Wright, Jy'asia Wright, Nakiya Wright, Royal Washington, and Kan'niyla Washington; mother-in-law, Louella Wright; three sisters-in-laws, Ernestine Wright, Sinder Singleton, and Aretha Jeter; three brothers-in-law, Ricky(Ella) Wright, Otis (Shameka) Wright, and Andy Wright; three very special friends, Cornelius Washington, Stephanie Lee and Andrena Johnson; and host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends.
