Laroscoe was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Mayewood High School Class of 1993. He furthered his education by attending Fayetteville State University. Laroscoe played football during his high school and college days. He played multiple positions such as fullback, running back, as well as linebacker. Laroscoe was born and raised in the Mt. Sinai AME Church. As an adult, he united with the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, where he was faithful and graciously known as "The Voice", until his health declined. Laroscoe believed in working. He worked for various companies throughout his lifetime, such as McFadden Trucking, International Paper, America's Finest Company, Kids Services, Inc., NC Highway Patrol Training Center, Sumter Fire Department and Harvin Meats Company. Laroscoe was a member of the Blue Moon Christmas Savings Club for five years and was president for two years. In the motorcycle world, he was famously known as "Hard Roc" and he won countless motorcycle racing events. He was nominated and won the Biker of the Year Award. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, racing motorcycles and singing. Laroscoe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie "Dunk" Cooper, Laree Witherspoon Cooper, Eva Mae McFadden and Willie Harold McFadden; one uncle, Joseph "Whop" Cooper. Laroscoe, fondly known as "Hard Roc", departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Sumter, South Carolina. Laroscoe leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Leroy and Lillie W. Cooper of Sumter, SC , Linda (Shawn Murphy) Cooper of Dalzell, SC, Mary McFadden, Martell McFadden, both of Sumter, SC, Ann McFadden-Ham of Baltimore, MD and Silvia Rufus of Sumter, SC; uncles, Willie Cooper, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Timothy Cooper of Sumter, SC, Willie Don (Mary) McFadden of Ft.
