Obituary L J Washington was born October 11, 1944 in Elliott, SC to the late Lucille Washington and Buster Dewitt.He was educated in the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School.He accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Christ Temple Holiness Church in Timmonsville, SC, where he served as a member of the brotherhood, Male Chorus and Gospel Choir.L J Washington was employed at Reeves Brothers for over thirty years. When L J had some free time, he enjoyed using that time by fishing, hunting, singing or playing his guitar, if he wasn't doing those things, he spent time with his son, Harry repairing something, shopping or just spending quality time together.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Fortune Washington; three sisters, Pastor Rosa Smith, Daisy Dewitt and Pearlie Mae Hart; three brothers, Leroy Dewitt, Shuler Dewitt and Shepard WashingtonOn Sunday, February 24, 2019, Mr. L J Washington transitioned peacefully in Wedgefield, SC.L J Washington leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Shirletha W.
