Obituary Khalif Bilal Patterson was born July 25, 1980 in Newark, NJ to the late Valerie Denise Patterson and the late Kevin Keith McGriff.Khalif was educated in the public schools of Newark, NJ and was a graduate of Malcolm X High School in Newark, NJ in 1999, while there he developed a love for bowling and football. Upon completion of high school, he attended Benedict College in Columbia, SC for two years.Khalif endeavor in several different fields before he found his labor of love. He enjoyed driving big rigs anywhere and everywhere for the past several years, as he was pursuing his dreams to become an owner operator.Khalif was a fun-loving person who spent most of his life sharing his humor, his laughter and his love with the people he encountered. He looked good and he knew it and had a style that was phenomenally his own.Khalif was all about family and his infectious love was felt throughout ours. There are not enough words to express how deeply missed he will be and by so many. The song of his laughter is now a melody of love we will hear when we think of his smile.Khalif was preceded in death by his parents, Valerie D. Patterson and Kevin K.
