Kayla Danielle Cooper was born May 16, 1983, in Sumter, South Carolina to Vincina Marie June Spann and the late Mitchell O. Williams.

Kayla was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and attended Sumter High School. Upon completing her high school education, Kayla joined the United States Army. She completed her basic training at Fort Jackson Training Center in Columbia, South Carolina. She was then stationed at Fort Campbell Military Base in Fort Campbell, Kentucky in 2007 and was honorably discharged in November 2010.

Kayla’s passion was being a hair stylist and she loved to make others beautiful through her passion. Kayla’s family was her life, and she would go out of her way to help them when it was needed.

Kayla joined the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Kayla was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell O. Williams; brother, Antwaun Jermaine June; grandmother, Susan Linton Dukes; great grandfather, Leroy June, Sr.; great grandmother, Nellie Haynesworth; and uncle, Daniel Lee June.

On Thursday, July 23, 2024, Kayla departed this earthly life at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina to be with the Lord.

Kayla leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Chirstopher Cooper; children, Christoper Cooper, Jaylen Cooper, Essence Tiasia (Johnathan) Cooper Barrios, Tyler Cooper, Ny’cere Cooper, Kaden Cooper, Kendall Cooper, Ka’meir Chance, Ja’ceon Chance, Ethan Cooper, Brielle G. Cooper and Bryel G. Cooper; grandchildren, Myliant Christian Cooper, Christopher Cooper, Jr., Jaybreon Cooper, Kamariz Cooper; mother, Vincina June (Minister Daryl) Spann; sister, Janae Shantelle June; three brothers, Tyrell Lavern June, Daewaun Elliott Dingle and Jaivon Tyshawn Dingle; grandmother, Alice Irene (Marvin E. Colclough) Choice; aunts, Quanda Nichole Choice, Vernessa Williams, Sharon Cooper and Lavie Linton; uncles, Leroy “Sal” June, Jr., Trevis Lavern June, Kevin Lorenzo (Ladrena) Choice, Datrick Lamont Choice and Dwayne Linton; grand aunts, Flossie Mae Brailsford and Roberta Choice June; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
