Obituary Mr. Junior Sinkler, also known as "Tom Dawson", was born March 6, 1938 to the late Dawson Sinkler, Sr. and Virginia Cantey in Sumter, South Carolina.Junior was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, South Carolina. At an early age, he attended Beulah U.M.E. Church and in 2016 received Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. His favorite scripture was Psalm 23.For many years he worked as a truck driver at Sumter Concrete and Glasscock. He retired from ECB Construction. He was such a worker that he couldn't sit still so he gained employment as a Landscaper until his health declined in 2014.He showed love to everyone in his life. He enjoyed music and was our local comedian at heart. You could not encounter him without him making you smile or laugh. He loved and cherished his one and only daughter. They were inseparable! She was his pride and joy!In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by four brothers; William Sinkler, Paul Sinkler, Freddie Sinkler and Erin Sinkler, three sisters; Jamie Lou Bradley, Katheryn Jacobs and Carrie Mae Sinkler and a son-in-law; Kenneth E. Crowder, Sr.Junior departed this earthly life on December 4, 2017.He leaves to cherish fond memories, a daughter; Victoria C. Crowder, four step-sons; Johnathan J. (Denise) Singleton, Jr. of Dalzell, SC, Roosevelt Singleton of Woodbridge, VA, Terrence L. (Lacie) Singleton of Dalzell, SC and Raymond (Aretha) Harvin of Florida, four step-daughters; Theresa C. (Leon) Clea of Dalzell, SC, Tonya Green and Rene (Leon) White both of Sumter, SC, and Michelle (Preston) Bouie of Atlanta, GA, two brothers; Willie Sinkler of Sumter, SC and Leroy Sinkler of Conway, SC, two sisters; Ruth Mae Cantey and Mary Williams both of Sumter, SC, twenty-four grandchildren, four special friends; Mattie L. Mack, Jeffrey Boyd, Frederick Green and Rodrickus Brailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
