Julia Louise Conyers Wright, was born in the U.S. Army hospital in Wurzburg, Germany to Dorothy Nixon Conyers and the late Charlie Conyers, Jr. on September 9, 1964. On Saturday, May 14, 2022, while wrapped in the arms of her only sister, Jennifer, she was called to her heavenly home. Julia was married to Perry Wright, her husband of twenty-one years, and to this union they had one son, Perry Matthew Wright. Julia attended the public schools of Sumter County; graduating from Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, SC in 1982. She was a member of Bethel AME Church in Wedgefield, SC, where she served faithfully until her health failed. She was a member of the Usher Board, Church School, JW Missionary Society and formerly a member of the Inspirational Choir. Julia was a people person who loved everyone. She was well known for calling everyone often to check on them or just to say hello. To know her was to love her. In addition to her father, Julia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louise and Charlie Conyers, Sr. and William and Julia Nixon. Julia leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband, Perry Wright; one son, Perry Matthew Wright; two stepsons, Ivanson Wright, of Sumter, SC and Tearia (Ashley) of Orangeburg, SC; mother, Dorothy Nixon Conyers of Sumter, SC; mother-in-law, Lula Mae Young of Sumter, SC; father-in-law, Leroy (Geraldine) Mack; two brothers, Anthony Charles and Darrell Patrick Conyers, of Sumter, SC; one sister, Jennifer Ann Conyers, of Jacksonville, FL: a sister-in-law, Jackie Young; step grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
