Obituary Joseph (Joe) Bennett, age 76, departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Camden, SC. He was born April 3, 1936 in Rembert, SC to the late Johnny and Nancy Holiday Bennett. He was educated at Live Oak School in Rembert, SC. Joseph was affectionately known by his close friends as "Big Joe". He befriended many and greeted all with a smile or a joke. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Alease A. Bennett; two daughters: Mary 'Edna' Reed and Deborah {Mike} Bennett-York; two sons: Eric Bennett and Bernard Bennett; twelve grandchildren: Sammie Reed, Christopher Reed, Miosha York, Xavier Bennett, Ericka Bennett, Isaiah York, A' Brea Bennett, Angel Bennett McGee, Olivia Bennett, Morgan Bennett, Hailey Bennett and Eric Bennett; great-grandson, Jordan Reed; eight siblings: Earline Allen, Elijah {Azalee} Bennett, Elizabeth {Abraham} Alston, Isaac 'Tubby' Ralph, Benjamin {Pearl} Bennett, Richard {Ruth} Bennett, Mildred Duncan, and Nora Golden; two brother-in-laws: Marshall Dinkins and John Alston; an honorary brother, Robert Hunter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
